Day of Difference

Over the last week I’ve had a few really great times but havent had access to the net or any free time to update the blog. I’m on a training camp now so I have a heap of recovery time on my hands so I’ll shoot a few more things up when I remember what exactly happened.

I’ll start with the Day of Difference Gala Dinner at Star City, Sydney . Had a great night. The Day of Difference Charity was set up by the Father of Sophie Delezio, Ron, a year or so after Sophie was injured when a car collided with her Daycare. I became friends of the family and eventually an ambassador for the charity. It’s a great cause raising money for seriously injured kids. The dinner had a theme of Chine and the Forbidden City and I had my parents down from home to enjoy the night with me. It was a great warmup for what they’ll experience in Beijing in 3 weeks when they travel to watch me in the games. Plenty of money was raised and it was great to run into the family once more. My family and the Delezio’s.

I can barely keep the eyes open now so I will run down the rest of the week over the next few days.

702 and the Pest of Sport

Just finished an interview for ABC 702. Was nice and relaxed. The ABC’s coverage of the Paralympics is going to be something that we have never seen before. I’m lead to believe it’ll be 25 hours on ABC and 75 on ABC 2. Great for those that have the vested interest in the games and the [...]
